Little Buff (14 Mile)
Ride bikes. Change lives. Join the Buffalo Bicycle Classic on September 8th for the 17th annual ride and Colorado’s largest scholarship fundraising event. The Buffalo Bicycle Classic dates back to 2003, having raised over 3.6 million dollars in support of student scholarships at CU Boulder.
The BBC Story:
With the addition of the Dirty Buff, there are 8 ride options to choose from in 2019. Riders choose a course from several options varying in length and difficulty, and ride at their own pace. All riders are welcome, E-bikes, trailers…Just make sure you wear a helmet!
13.5 miles of westbound Boulder Canyon is open only to bicycles on event day. The Buff Epic riders enjoy this long stretch up the canyon in a dedicated lane. The canyon is closed to cars, allowing BBC riders a private lane on the climb.
1.4 thousand scholarships have been awarded. The Buffalo Bicycle Classic supports over 50 resident students each year. These students come from all over the state, all show academic promise and exhibit profound financial need.
Without this scholarship, I would not have been able to afford school and pursue my dreams; their help means more than I can explain. When I graduate, I wish to keep helping the organization, even through a small donation, so they can continue to support deserving students.

Since I was paying for school myself, every penny counted, and being awarded this scholarship was extremely helpful. It took the pressure of paying for books and supplies off my back. It was also a great time to volunteer for the bike ride.
