The 12 Hours of Mesa Verde is a premier cycling event organized by volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of youth in Southwest Colorado.
HISTORY
The 12 Hours of Mesa Verde began as “Ride the Lightning” in 2003, but developed into its current 12 hour endurance race in 2007. Since its inception in 2003, the race has donated more than $350,000 to local organizations that focus on at-risk youth.

Registration and Team Instructions
TEAM CAPTAINS
Team Captains register the Team Name and pay the team fee, and simultaneously register themselves. All Team Members still need to register.
The Captain pays the team entry fee. All Team Members still need to register.
After securing a team entry, the Captain invites their Team Members to register for their team under the Team Name created by the Captain.
Team Member additions and transfers are free through March 10th. A $10 per person fee will apply for the following: class changes and participant transfers not completed by the Team Captain or completed after March 10th.
ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST REGISTER!
Your Team Captain will contact you with your Team Name.

Select the Class and Team Name provided by your Captain.
If you register before March 11th you will not pay any fees.
If you register after March 10th there is a $10 late fee.

KIDS MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE
Activities will be available for the kiddos from 10PM – 4
PM.
The Kids race starts promptly at Noon.
Register on race day.
Kids activities take place at the kids table in the building unless otherwise posted.
Be sure to look for the KIDS PAGE in the Race Newsletter provided at packet pick-up.
All kids activities are free.
Any donations made on race day will be greatly appreciated.

Bike Travel Weekend and Bike Your Park Day are fun and easy, and they help get people outside and on bikes. There’s no cost to you or your participants (unless you want to charge a fee to participants to cover your costs). The initiatives help create community connections, promote destinations, and can boost local economies. You can participate in Bike Travel Weekend and Bike Your Park Day through your own programming or you can partner with other groups.
There are two ways to be part of Bike Travel Weekend & Bike Your Park Day:
1. Plan and register a Bike Travel Weekend trip at BikeTravelWeekend.org and/or register a Bike Your Park Day ride at BikeYourParkDay.org. Registration, planning resources, and inspiration are available for free. Plus, registrants will receive stickers for their group and will be entered to win a bike and Amtrak tickets to Glacier National Park.

2. Promote Bike Travel Weekend and Bike Your Park Day to your customers, visitors, and friends.
