Back for 2021, Wild Horse Gravel showcases the unique high desertscape of the Western Slope. Hosted on the luxury High Lonesome Ranch, riders will be treated to a country cook-out, campfire, cabins, camping – or glamping – and the best local music. In short, there will be a Colorado country party to accompany the ride.
In addition to being hidden well, well off the beaten path, The High Lonesome Ranch and its surrounding area isn’t open to riding year-round, so participants benefit from exclusive access to this secret stash of wild-west gravel. You’ll only be disappointed if you were hoping for a bunch of auto traffic on the route.
We have two routes to choose from, and riders can decide which one on the day – even mid-ride. Feeling strong when you get to back to the ranch? Then turn head back out for another lap. Feeling like 45 miles is plenty? Then rest your legs at the ranch Totally your call.
There are two timed segments that you can take as seriously or as frivolously as you like — the name of the game is doing a big gravel ride with friends new and old. Even those that hammer away at maximum speed will stop to regroup, taking in the views and the delicious local goodies at the well-stocked feed station. As with all Roll Massif Sportives, you’re going to want to bring your camera.

Elephant Rock is a true Colorado cycling classic, dating back more than 30 years. This legend has endured for good reason — the excellent riding is matched by the festival atmosphere and the professional support out on course.
This year we have three road courses (44, 60 and 100 miles), one gravel/road route (28.5 miles) and one great family ride (8 miles). It all goes down June 6 in Castle Rock, Colorado, with all rides starting and finishing at Douglas County Fairgrounds.
And the rides are only half the party! The Colorado Bike Expo on June 6 will feature scores of cool exhibitors, demos, live music, food and more.

Crooked Gravel takes a few cues from an exploratory event the legendary Ron Kiefel put together a decade ago called Crooked Roubaix. Back before gravel bikes were really a thing, Kiefel and some friends set out on a 95-mile dirt-road adventure from Winter Park up into the high mountains on road bikes.
Fast forward to 2021 and gravel bikes are a thing. Our two routes take in the very best of Grand County gravel, with long, winding climbs up through aspen and pine forests, wide open descents under the massive Colorado sky and – on the long route – some secret tracks never before explored in a cycling event.
If nothing worth doing is easy, then Crooked Gravel is certainly worth doing… Both routes tackle over 5,000 feet of climbing on gravel, beginning in at 8,500 feet elevation.

Back again in 2021, Winter Park Sunrise to Sunset capitalizes on two well-established strengths: the Sunrise to Sunset model and Winter Park’s deep mountain-bike roots. Luscious singletrack trails crisscross the mountains of Winter Park. How good are they, you ask? Good enough that USA Cycling is hosting the National Championships on the Winter Park trails once again for a second year in 2021.
Ideal for a 12-hour relay format, the section of trails used in Sunrise to Sunset are just above town, making access and relaxation between laps super easy. Winter Park Sunrise to Sunset will be held in conjunction with Crooked Gravel, so at day’s end riders of both persuasions will be partying together at the bandshell and surrounding park.
The 12-hour format is all about balancing camaraderie and challenge. Sure, some folks race it solo, but most choose to race in teams, from two-person up to five-person squads. As one teammate is out on course, banging out a 9.4-mile hot lap, the others are kicking back at camp, enjoying the festival atmosphere in the cool, high-mountain air.
While some events cater specifically to beginners or experts, Sunrise to Sunset offers fun for all; the level of challenge is self selected by how fast you go!
