The Spring (third) Stage is on! We ask that everyone observe all the safety recommendations when using the parks. The extended period is to allow participants to spread their rides out even more. See Rules page for more info.
The Four Seasons of Horsetooth Mountain Bike Challenge is a grass-roots un-event with no entry fees and no real start times and is ridden on the two solstices and two equinoxes in Horsetooth Mountain Park and Lory State Park. By being required to complete at least three seasonal stages, we hope it encourages you to come ride if your schedule doesn’t permit on any given stage. The course is designed to offer what we think are the best sections of trail in our backyard. The course should take about 2-3 hours. Had fun in the winter? Bring a friend for the spring stage! Don’t own a fancy team kit or 20lb race bike? Neither do we! Come ride for the fun and challenge of completing all four events! Check out the rules in the link below.

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER
25 years ago, the first Fruita Fat Tire Festival marked the emergence of the sports newest Mountain Bike destination. Since 1996 we have built a community of amazing people around the little MTB town of Fruita Colorado. We thank you all so much for your enduring friendship and support since. We have faced challenges of weather and worldwide worry before but never quite like this. As a celebration of a quarter of a century of singletrack trails we had a silent celebration to honor the safety of our people, our community and our world by postponing this years celebration. We will be using the upcoming year to fashion a 25th Anniversary US Bank Fruita Fat Tire Festival “REDUX” like none we have seen before. Thank You for being a part of this story, be safe and we will see you again soon as we make this saga a tale of the past.

Hundreds of American communities have been successful in increasing bicycle commuting by providing Bike to Work Week and Bike to Work Day events. Bike to Work Day is June 23rd STATEWIDE!
40% of all trips in the U.S. are less than two miles, making bicycling a feasible and fun way to get to work. With increased interest in healthy, sustainable and economic transportation options, it’s not surprising that, from 2000 to 2013, the number of bicycle commuters in the U.S. grew by more than 62 percent.

Event Details
Dramatically increase your chances of capturing that coveted LT100 MTB belt buckle by attending the 2021 Stages Cycling Leadville Trail 100 MTB Training Camp. Camp participants will ride, dine and socialize with a host of experienced buckle-sporting guides.
Over the course of 3 days, you’ll ride every mile of the legendary course with special attention to the most grueling sections: Powerline, St. Kevins and the incredible Columbine climb. In the evening, join your camp guides for Q&A sessions on proper training, diet, bike setup and crewing logistics.
Due to permitting, camp participation is limited to 100 athletes. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to ride with Leadville legends!
